3/4" thick, A572 Grade-50 Steel solid shackle tabs welded thoroughly to winch mount and reaches back and bolts to Frame Rails.
Grade 50 is a high strength, low alloy steel that finds its best application where there is need for more strength per unit of weight. Less of this material is needed to fulfill given strength requirements than is necessary with regular carbon steels.
ASTM A572 Grade 50 is considered a "workhorse" grade and is widely used in many applications. Steel mills produce channel and heavy beams with Grade 50. The hatch operates, latches and seals as designed but it will sit 1/4" higher when closed. If you can live with that,then order. If it's going to bother you please do not order).

Our tire carrier involves brute strength, power and force from the custom built struts to raise that heavy offroad tire into the air. There for, with all that brute strength, power and force, we call our tire carrier "Kratos - The Tire Carrier".
In Greek Mythology. Cratos was a son of the Titan Pallas (not to be confused with PallasAthena) and the goddess Styx. He was the personification of strength and power. The name is derived from the common noun Κράτος, meaning "force", "strength", or "power". The spellings "Cratus" and "Kratos" are also used.
Uncle Joe, weighing in at 184 pounds sits on top of his 97-lbs 35" tire all mounted to the Kratos. Excellent location to fish in the river from if we may say so...
!!!Caution!!!
Use and exercise caution when using Kratos on your WJ. Even though we have tested this modification on our WJ everyday for four months in different terrains, anything can happen. Your WJ's hatch was not designed to carry a spare tire on it. We figured out a way to get that tire on there and a way for the hatch to still open and stay open. Use common sense when opening the hatch. With the tire mounted, the hatch opens slowly so it won't swing up fast when opening, which is a good thing for the factory strut mounting location. A common exercise for us is to keep our hand on the hatch pushing it up until it fully opens. Examine your strut stud mounts every 1,000-miles to be sure the studs are bolted tight at all times. All-in-all, when you have a 90lbs tire above your head, just use common sense and always play it safe. Don't let anyone hang on the tire while driving. Do not leave your hatch open while driving. Do not hang any extra weight on the tire/wheel while driving! Do not play around the hatch area while hatch is open which includes sitting back there. Do not let any children play around the hatch while open, ever!.

Front Tow Hitch Receiver w/ D-Ring Shackle Tabs (HEAVY DUTY) for Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 1999 - 2004, Grand Cherokee WK 2005 - 2010, Jeep Commander XK 2006 - 2010 (fits CRD and Gasoline Models)
The Idea: To have a removable winch mounted to a tow receiver plate with solid D-Rings attachments. Recessed design, low overhang with minimal approach angle loss. To be mounted behind factory bumpers. The front tow receiver has many uses and comes in quite useful. 100% Bolt On.
In Summary as stated by a fellow Jeeper, "You guys just put all front tow hitch manufacturer's to shame with this product". It's probably true.
Our WJ and WK, XK Front Tow Hitch Receiver w/ Shackle Tabs are built with A572 Grade-50 steel which is also used in building beams. It's welded to 1/4" plates and two 1/4" thick gussets. The Center tube is a 2" x 2" by .188 wall thickness. We weld MULTI-pass on all contact points of the 3/4" shackle tab plate. Mounted to your frame rails with Grade-8 hardware and frame sandwich plates which are also 1/4" thick. Take Recovery Seriously!!!
(WJ)The mounting plate is constructed from 1/4" Plate and has three mounting holes to the underside of the WJ's uni-body frame-rail. Mounts to factory holes, no drilling required. Minor grinding required under uni-body frame-rail. To mount behind Limited bumpers you must cut off the two center plastic pieces to amke enough room for the 2" receiver. (WK and XK) The mounting plate is constructed from 1/4" Plate and has four mounting holes to the underside of the WK's/XK's uni-body frame-rail. Mounts to three factory holes plus one additional hole deep back into the frame-rail, one hole drilling required per side.
The Shackle Tab is constructed of 3/4" thick x 7" length Grade-50 Steel and is welded to the 1/4" plate all around with two gussets on the side. The shackle tab has a 7/8"" hole for D-Ring Shackles. These are the same shackle tabs we use on our winch mounts and bumpers.

For WJ - Remove factory bumper fascia, grind down small sheet-metal lip under uni-body frame rail, install Front Tow Receiver and frame rail mounting plates, reinstall bumper fascia. Grinding required, no drilling required.
For WK/XK - Remove factory bumper fascia, install Front Tow Receiver Kit and frame rail backing plate using three nuts and bolts in factory holes, drill a 3/8" hole for the fourth mounting location deep back on the frame rail. Reinstall bumper fascia. Drilling required. No grinding or cutting necessary.

Our radiator skid plate is called "The GateKeeper" because it acts as a gate between the rocks and your radiator support bar/radiator. This item is compatible with both our bumper and our hidden winch mount if you are running the winch mount with or with-out a bumper fascia.
The skid plate is constructed from 1/4" x 4" plate which runs across from left to right and curves up and bolts to bumper plate with two 3/8" x 1" Grade-8 bolts on each side (drilling of four 7/16" holes required.
Updated version: The seven slot design is constructed from eight 1.5" x .095 DOM Tubes, welded from the bottom plate to the upper mounting plate and bolts to your winch mounting point. The old design was 1.5" x .120 DOM tubes causing too much weight. With eight tubes welded to upper and lower plates, the .120 was overkill and not required.

Description
Through testing and banging on a few rocks we came to learn that the radiator support bar on the WJ is made of bread. Literally, thin sheet metal which can be damaged and moved by the slightest impact. We have redesigned our radiator skid plate a few times since our Overland Bumper release in December 2015 and have finally come to a design that is satisfactory and actually serves a purpose.
With our bumpers providing the perfect approach angle and strong mounting points, which reach all the way back near the sway bar bolts, it was imperative the radiator skid plate served a purpose as equal to the bumper.
The actual skid plate which covers the bottom of the radiator support bar is made of 1/4" steel plate by 4" wide. The plate bends around and up the radiator support bar to reach our bumper and it mounts to the bumper. This mounting supports the underside of the skid plate for impacts where the Jeep falls from an obstacle onto an object such as a rock. The front of the skid plate is supported by eight DOM Tubes. If you are not a fan of the seven slot design, we have the optional "GateKeeper III" which does not have the tubes.
The point of the radiator support skid plate is to provide a gate between your radiator and the rock, a gate which is impassable.

The HK Krawler provides better approach angles on the sides. The front of the bumper is slanted forward to give it a sharper more aggressive look and more room for 12,500lbs winches.

These struts are not the stuff you buy from ebay, amazon or your local parts store. These struts are serious beef and last a very long time. These are custom built and you'll receive a text from us after ordering. We will build them to the amount of pressure you'll need depending on what you would like to attach to the rear hatch, like jerry cans, high lift jacks etc. If you are not planning on attaching anything on the hatch and just need something more reliable then we will build them with factory spec pressure.

WJ Replacement Roof Rails

The Problem:
The factory stock aluminum roof rails are mounted to the Jeep using 5 riv-nuts and bolts in a straight line across each roof rail. Failure of the hardware is experienced with any type of side-force applied to the aluminum factory rails and continues use of heavy pressure. We had our Frontrunner Featherlite Roof Top Tent, which only weighs 90 lbs) mounted to the factory rails for two years and camped on a normal basis up to three times per month with multiple nights out in the sticks and deserts. Eventually as time passed, the factory rails began bending causing the tents mounting bolts to hit the roof and cause a hole. One final straw witht he factory rails completely failing was when we flopped the Jeep at West lake Trail in the Sierra National Forest. When the Jeep flopped, the tent hit the floor from it's side and ripped the rails right out.
The Solution:
Our replacement rails are of a stronger material, have more mounting points, constructed of steel DOM Tube with 3/16" mounting plates.
1.5" x .095 Steel DOM Tube Rails
Two 1-degree bends across the rails which provide a flat center section of the rail for mounting roof top tents, baskets, etc...
Three mounting base plates with 11 bolts mounting rails to roof
Mounts using 11 riv-nuts and bolts with-out having to drop down headliner OR use fender washers and secure the bolts from under the headliner. Our replacement rails have been mounted to our Jeep now for two years using 11 riv-nuts and bolts on each rail and they have not failed.
Mounting hardware on left and right side of each rail instead of just one straight line to provide adequate strength and durability for side force.
Longer than factory rails covering more area around the roof line.
Does not interfere with Sunroof

Our radiator skid plate is called "The GateKeeper" because it acts as a gate between the rocks and your radiator support bar/radiator. The GateKeeper III is a variation of the original design with-out the 1.5" bars. Compatible with HK Overland and Krawler Bumpers, Hidden Winch Mounts and/or as a stand alone skid plate for your radiators core support.
